Found out something really interesting the other day.
Those who are secure in their self worth need less validation.
Therefore those who drop everything to reply to their boss’ latest email might be suffering from insecurity/low self worth/validation issues.
The logic being – if I reply quickly and complete the request fast the more approval I can gain from my boss.
Approval from your boss could conceivably translate into job security and so the (insecure) working population becomes glued to their email, ready to jump as high as their boss wants them to.
