Desire first logic second

I pay a small fee to get my groceries delivered.

Some people, when they hear this, are impressed and applaud the decision.

Others are horrified and can’t understand the decision at all. To them I say I save time and the delivery fee is always cheaper than the impulse buying. That usually works.

But the interesting thing is (at least in my opinion) I came up with the reasons to defend my decision after the decision.

I didn’t weigh up the options, draw up an excel sheet and mull it over for a month before ordering groceries online.

I decided I wanted to do it and then I found reasons that sounded logical enough to back it up.

Which makes me wonder how many more of my decisions were made this way?

‘But I thought we decided to go for the people carrier? Honey I’ll be so fast in the Porsche that we’ll transport the same amount of people in the same time!’
