‘Where do you buy confidence? Or charisma?’
I’m no psychologist but I reckon a good portion of the Christmas shopping will be to buy confidence.
No one will come outright and say it, that would be ludicrous and you’d earn yourself a good ridiculing!
Instead it’ll come in the form of jackets or shoes or watches.
Whatever Ryan Gosling is wearing these days!
I can understand, I’ve definitely done it in the past and am still prone to it.
‘Why do you want to spend €400 on a jacket you don’t need?’
‘Because it’ll make me look like James Bond alright!’
But I think that targeting is off.
We might think the source of Bond’s debonair ways is his expensive clothing but I think what we really admire is the confidence.
Because when you have confidence you can make anything look good!
