I think being in the Christmas mood is akin to deja vu.
Seeing as so much of the holiday is upholding traditions, you might not feel like Christmas is right around the corner if you’re creating new rituals in a new environment with new people.
But if you were to do the same things you’ve always done this time of year, that powerful sense of nostalgia will put you back on track to attain that familiar ‘Christmas feeling’.
As Joanna Gaines once said:
“We count down the days, just to experience it nearly exactly as we always have. It is so comfortable, familiar and perfectly nostalgic that frankly we have no desire to improve on it at all.”
