Condescending tone

I think as long as a debate stays logical, the exchange of ideas can be highly beneficial to all.

But I think that all goes out the window when someone uses a condescending tone.

It’s a cheap tactic.

It’s a mean-spirited jab that moves the conversation away from logic and towards insecurities.

It says rather than trying to match you for intelligence I’m going to try and make you feel bad about yourself.
