I can relate!
Whenever I feel insulted or criticised I find myself withdrawing mentally from the conversation.
I believe it’s a protection mechanism.

Jay Carter talks about how the introversion reaction is not the most beneficial behaviour.
It can actually lead to spiralling and to prevent that catastrophic thinking is to do the unintuitive and force yourself to be extraverted.
