Debating is about theories.
I will carefully select conducive facts to create a theory.
Similarly, my opponent, will omit any facts that contradict his narrative.
I might interpret facts and say we’re in danger and need to act now.
My adversary might take those exact same facts and spin them to say we are safe and no action is needed.
It’s not about truth it’s about connecting dots to sway people.
Whoever paints the more compelling visual will win over the audience.
