Bus code of conduct

The man came to the top of the stairs and he paused.

He scanned down the bus.

There were two seats down the back but his lack of movement indicated that he couldn’t see them through the crowd of passengers.

Eventually he gave it up and went back downstairs.

Now what I found interesting was that there were people who could see the seat opportunity but didn’t communicate this to the man.

Why?

Because it’s against the norms of bus behavior.

The bus code of conduct clearly states that you keep your eyes down and it’s every man for himself.
