Gorseth’s Sunday

Gorseth is enjoying his Sunday morning.

He’s just finished his cereal and pancakes and now he’s puzzling.

Jigsaw puzzling to be exact and he registers a feeling of content with his life.

Hold on that feeling.

What’s that sliding into the corner of his mind?

An awful slippery dangerous thought there could be a better way to spend his Sunday.

Unfortunately Gorseth doesn’t dispel this idea immediately instead he entertains it.

GORSETH NOOOO!!

Now Gorseth is imagining being in the hot tub of his local gym and the gym girl he’s had a crush on for months slides into the water beside him and they hit it off!

He’s visualizing being down at the nearby beach crafting a magnificent sand castle in the amazing weather and behind him he hears a compliment on his work and he turns around to see the beach girl he’s been nursing a soft spot for years, she’s beaming at him in such a way that clearly says I want to date you, hard!

He sees himself dining at the finest breakfast place in all of Minsk, feeling gloriously satisfied with his meal and then the chef comes out to tell him it’s all free and she looks him up and down and asks him out on a date.

The scene fades and Gorseth looks at his empty cereal bowl, lack of company and incomplete jigsaw puzzle.

The feeling of content is a long forgotten memory. Now his reality seems like a pathetic use of his time.

Damn imagination!!
