Will I regret this decision?
Depends on how good your memory is.
Hindsight is 20:20 and it’s absurdly easy to pick out the right options retrospectively.
On the other hand it helps to remember just how much was unknown and uncertain when you made the decision.
“No, I don’t regret that decision because that was the best option I could see at the time”
… is the kind of phrase I like.
Retrospective self compassion is much easier than the torture of trying to pick the right option without seeing the future.
