Progress markers

A helpful aspect of modern marathons is the mile marker and the pace keepers.

So you can know with certainty how much suffering is left and how quickly you can end it all.

If only this were the case with every journey.

For example let’s look at poor Jorge.

He’s trying to make it as a DJ. He wants his name in lights, headlining Tomorrowland and all the trappings of riches and fame.

The trouble is, he has no idea what mile he is on.

He could be right around the corner from achieving his goal, he could be only 2% along.

Jorge hasn’t a clue.

Progress markers can be helpful but in the murky uncertain marshlands of some goals, you need to rely on something else.

Do you enjoy the journey or are you waiting to reach the finish line to enjoy yourself?
