Tina is a delight.
Her positivity is felt as soon as she walks into a room.
She’s easy to get on with, has a bubbly personality and fills each crack and gap with fun.
Now, I dare say you’ve come across your own Tina in your lifetime.
And I want to ask, did you care about their mistakes?
Did you view all of their smiles with a footnote describing in detail all their failings?
I reckon you didn’t.
I’d say you just enjoyed their company!
And so, to the perfectionists reading this, I am trying to pass on the lesson I learnt, to you.
Ultimately we care about connection so achievements and success are not going to provide the belonging you seek.
Hat tip to Katherine Morgan Schafler for the inspiration.
