Jafar and Kurt

Jafar fears rejection.

Therefore he doesn’t talk to women.

Now I think the curing of Jafar’s fear is experiencing being rejected and seeing that it doesn’t kill him.

In fact it’s actually not that bad at all.

Therefore, ironically, Jafar is avoiding the very practice that will heal him (well in my unqualified eyes at least).

The same is true of Kurt.

Being bullied as a kid forced Kurt to vacuum pack his personality.

Now he works hard to make himself small, invisible and unnoticeable.

He lives in fear of bullies and their hurtful comments.

His behaviour ensures survival but not thrival!

I think a he would live a much lighter life if he dialled down the fear and avoidance techniques and developed a confidence to handle hurtful comments that doesn’t result in pulling the duvet covers over his head for a week.
