It’s common courtesy to follow your friends on social media.
To not do so, would trigger questions like – are you mad at me? Are we good?
But some people are so annoying on social media that they push this politeness to the brink.
‘Sorry, but I have to unfollow your virtual self to stay friends with your physical self.’
Facebook knew about this social oddity and offered you the chance to ‘unfollow’ your friends, so to your friend everything looks hunky dory but you secretly no longer see any of their posts in your feed.
