The CEO has requested an all hands on deck last minute project, quick drop everything you’re doing and help!
Without ever being a CEO, I think these projects are the product of lazy thinking.
Yes, every now and then a COVID comes along and both shocks and disrupts everything.
But you would think being at the top of the tree means you have a wealth of experience and know that these projects don’t materialise out of thin air.
They require time, effort and dropping other projects to make room for this one.
Therefore you’d think the CEO would be more proactive than reactive and anticipate changes earlier.
But I think, sometimes at least, those in power abuse their power to enable lazy planning and get away with it.
