When Michael Jackson was accused of sexually assaulting children it felt like a personal betrayal to many.

When the faceless corporation cheats their taxes it’s an indifference or a confirmation of a world view of greedy businesses.
Furthermore I think the corporate brand evokes a limited range of emotions in its audience.
It goes from like to dislike with indifference sandwiched in the middle.
Why?
Because it’s a faceless corporation filled with an ever changing workforce that are pushed to be impersonal.
The individual on the other hand lives and dies by the sword.
They can be loved and adored but also hated and held to impossibly high standards.
