As Seth Godin says perfectionism is more about fear.
Most of the time it’s fear of criticism.
If some internet troll doesn’t like your short film, I reckon you’re less likely to care.
But I think perfectionism is rampant in the corporate world because 1) you get criticised to your face 2) creativity is risky and businesses hate risk and 3) it feels like a critical opinion is equivalent to risking your livelihood.
