Gimli pettiness

The petty remark stung.

Not because it was aimed at me. Because it was so out of character for Gimli.

One would have been forgivable but 3 in quick succession aimed at three different people appeared like a giant red flag to me.

Instinct said something has disturbed this typically secure person’s stability and it is showing itself in petty remarks.

Now had it been Sauron I wouldn’t have batted an eyelid as pettiness is Sauron’s modus operandi.
