Why is the creative process so hard to pin down?
Because the area is rife with confirmation bias!
The diligent author finds books, quotes, and essays to validate her daily writing habit.
The superstitious painter points to a direct correlation between his best work and the full moon cycle.
Whether as the method actor believes the more experiential research the better he’ll perform in the movie.
Therefore I reckon the question of what is the best creative process should be rephrased to what do you think brings about success?
Comprehensive trial and error?
Letting intuition take over?
Hard work?
Fate?
Thinking more?
Thinking less?
Because I posit that all these famous artists first believed how to gain success then found a creative process to suit it.
