Shunning routine

If you think you’re repeating the same day over and over again it gets depressing.

At least that’s what the underlying message looks like in Groundhog Day and The Edge of Tomorrow.

The routine and predictability take a toll on the main character’s mental health and they suffer because of it.

Their salvation appears to come when they seek out the novel and experiment.

They find their way out of their rut when they shun the known path and explore possibilities.

An interesting lesson, I thought, from western cinema.
