The task that is known is easy.
Starting from scratch is hard.
It requires finding your way in the dark and that takes time.
A luxury you might not have.
But you’ll still be held to a tight deadline.
And here comes the anxiety!
So I think new tasks should always have ‘starting from scratch‘ time factored in.
