Once upon a time in the restaurant at the end of the universe, Balthazar Gulag after giving his waiting staff their schedules for the week said:
‘glcjabdpiwbgj 49&!#+20!’
which roughly translates to
‘And smile more!’.
To which Pelogaffe piped up and said
‘9)@-_(*!0 fjsoc &$)’8 fkcos loponnj daswe mnbc’
which roughly translates to
‘You cannot give us an overwhelming amount of things to do, fire half the staff to make it even harder then ask us to smile about it. I reserve the right to have a resting bitch face about all this!’
I think why Balthazar said what he said was because he feels guilty every time he sees their sad faces about all the demands he’s making of them and he’d prefer not to feel guilty so in a weird turn of events he’s putting the onus on the staff to make this feeling of guilt go away.
Now I’m totally with Pelogaffe on this one.
If you want your staff to smile more you’ve got to give them a great place to work.
