I think when you show preferential treatment to one subgroup you have to prepare for when it goes to their heads.
For example by all means give the sales department all the benefits and leave none for the rest.
But as soon as salespeople start walking around abusing their status thinking that they are above sexual harassment claims then you’ve got a toxic culture.
Then you have to come down hard on them.
Yes, we’ll give you all the benefits but you still have to treat everyone else with respect!
