After reading roughly 80 pages of The Tao of Pooh – the principles of Taoism demonstrated by Winnie the Pooh’ I understand Tao to mean buying a cane shaped pen, that you love the look of, then getting home to find it doesn’t work.
Then the Tao way would be seeing this as an opportunity for problem solving (like dipping the ball of the pen into olive oil so that the ink might flow better) patience, and letting go.
I think the anti Tao way would be stomping down to the shop, yelling at the staff, and demanding a new cane-shaped pen that works!
But hey that’s only 80 pages so far, we’ll see how I get on the more Pooh guides me into the world of Tao.
