Coach v lecturer

There is a lecturer and there is a coach.

Both have poor attendance to their sessions.

The coach is jealous of the lecturer in this regard.

You see the lecturer can simply divide up the curriculum, systematically work through it, and be done with the module.

It’s on the students to pass the test.

The coach I believe will be judged more than the lecturer on the performance of their charges.

I think this is due to the team nature of sport vs the individual nature of education.

You see the coach has to worry about cohesion and if players who haven’t shown up to training for months are confused they’re likely to disrupt the whole team.

So, the coach has to expend more energy making sure everyone is up to speed and singing off the same hymn sheet.
