Rash or prudent?

Was the decision rash or prudent?

If he finds another job within his notice period, then it would be prudent.

But what if that job he finds is worse than the one he quit! Does that make the decision rash?

Annie Duke calls this out coming. It’s where you retrospectively determine the merit of a decision based on the outcome.

The problem with it, is, when do you stop?

If he had converted that penalty they would have established a good lead early. Then you add the try they scored later and they would have won the game.

But if he had converted that penalty it would have been a restart from halfway rather than a drop out from behind the posts and ultimately a completely different game where they may not have scored that try later on.

If Back to the Future 2 taught me anything it’s that you can’t change the past and get the exact same present.
