Safe flight

‘Safe flight’ is a funny text to receive.

The majority of us are not pilots and therefore have no control over whether we have a safe flight or not.

And the sender knows this.

So, I think at the heart of it all, it’s not so much an instruction as an expression of concern and wish that you don’t die.
