I think it’s better to develop a 6/10 with 10/10 commitment rather than chase a 10/10 with 0/10 commitment.
You will be expelling energy either way.
Either developing or chasing and the benefit of developing is that the other person has so much commitment that they want to learn and will eagerly take things on board and meet your energy with energy.
Compared to desperately pulling out all the stops to keep someone uninterested, interested.
