Greg has invited Alex over for dinner.
Why is that noteworthy?
Because despite being related, Greg and Alex don’t get on with each other.
And yet the invitation was sent.
Most likely out of duty to Greg’s mother.
Because Greg’s mother Sian always loved the idea of a close knit family and Greg doesn’t realise it yet but he’s actually still living his life to please his mother rather than asking himself what does he want.
Because if he were to be honest with himself the thought of watching Anchorman 2 again appeals to him more than making awkward small talk with Alex.
