One does not simply sit down in a busy restaurant and not have a game of glances.

It’s the one where you are compelled to survey your surroundings, particularly the other patrons, while obeying the unwritten rules of social etiquette (namely, don’t get caught looking and if you do get caught have the decency to look away immediately).
