Here temporarily

Morgan had only known permanent jobs.

That was until he planned to emigrate and found himself with a week free and in need of cash.

So, he sought his uncle and his filling station.

Soon he found the benefits of the short contract.

There was no pressure to prove oneself or to build something for the future.

He didn’t have to worry about the culture or the fit because he’d be gone by the time he put his finger on it.

“You seem to be enjoying this job more than others”

Morgan’s mum said to him.

“Well I’m only there temporarily”

Morgan replied.

Then Morgan turned away and thought to himself – isn’t that true of every job?

Isn’t that true of life?

Que the existential crisis.
