Too much of a good thing

I should’ve known better but I didn’t stop.

I just kept loading up on rave review after rave review and unbeknownst to me, my expectations were becoming impossibly high.

So much so, that I created my own disappointment when the reality inevitably didn’t live up to my imagination.
