Battle or surf

Battles, wars, and fights.

That’s how most people view team sports.

‘Get ready for war!’

But that mindset makes losing intolerable.

It feels like your ego and social standing is at stake every time you take the field.

But what if we looked at team sports like surfing?

The object isn’t to win and make a loser out of the sea.

The point is to enjoy rising to the challenge of the waves. To become in tune with the flow of the ocean.

To adapt to the external and try and capitalize on the opportunities.

Not for gain or status but to feel alive.
