Fun pursuit

Trivial Pursuit is not a fun game in my opinion.

You either know the answer or you don’t and more often than not you don’t know the answer.

So you sit there feeling like an idiot making little to no progress for hours at a time.

Forgetting that the knowledge to win the game is entirely useless.

Now ’30 seconds’ on the other hand is great. With the time pressure and the challenge of explaining it fosters teamwork and the potential for silly panicked remarks that provoke laughter.

Now I think if Trivial Pursuit were to be improved it could add tension to the game by asking trivia about the person beside you.

That would create excitement because what if you get the question wrong? That would be very embarrassing and that’s where the tension comes in.
