Life’s flow

It was only a 20 minute car journey but it was full of moments.

There was the cyclist making an illegal and very disruptive right turn.

A great uplifting song came on that I hadn’t heard in ages.

Then there was that overly aggressive eye contact from that jay walker.

Then I arrived at my destination and as I reflected on the journey I wanted to play that song again to stay in that mood permanently and also I was unconsciously ruminating on that angry stare.

All the while there is an amazing sunset happening over the park in front of me which I’m missing because I’m trying to take the past with me.

It goes to show how transient life is and you cause trouble when you try to cling to that good rock instead of with the natural flow of life’s river.

“This too shall pass” should add sweetness to the good times and relief to the bad times.
