It’s a lazy Sunday.
I have the whole day to myself.
The neurotic part of my brain has, unprovoked, already started creating a to-do list.
But the lazy part says:
Ah, we have all day to do that stuff, let’s stay in bed a bit longer and watch TikToks.
Time passes and you feel like you’re starting to become a Tiktok Zombie and you think maybe you should do something productive with your day.
Then a friend calls to say they’re going to be in your local area in a couple of minutes and you can’t say no to meeting up.
They’re rarely in town so you go off and have an innocent lunch that turns into a few pints in the pub. And you come back home too late to do anything other than fall asleep and you’re internal to-do list just tuts disappointment at you.
But how could you have known the universe was going to throw you a curveball?
I find this generally how life goes,we have these plans we push them aside for immediate gratification and something comes up and we may never pick them up again.
