Adolescence misogyny

‘Adolescence’ (the TV show) was fascinating.

Because, now I might get this wrong, and I’m no psychologist, but it looked like at the root of misogyny was insecurity.

Beneath all that bravado, aggression, and intimidation tactics there was a vulnerable little boy wanting to be liked.

Instead of coming to terms with his flaws, he took advantage of the patriarchy and tried to put others beneath him.

‘Attack is the best form of defense’ n all that.

Which may be obvious to others and it makes total sense when I think about it but it was a well packaged revelation to me because how often do you see these misogynists in an intense therapy session?
