I was excited by the opportunity in the beginning but the longer they take to get back to me, the more I feel my passion for it ebbing away.
Which makes me wonder – is this a defense mechanism?
Am I protecting myself from the pain of rejection?
I suppose the litmus test would be if all the excitement rushes back if they eventually say they want me.
