Early morning observing

There’s something serene about being a non-participating observer of early morning commuting.

Like you’re an alien studying the human race with a clipboard.

The sun is providing a really nice shade of light, there’s a hustle and bustle of human life streaming through the streets but you’ve found a safe haven away from the dangerously fast current.

There’s a variety of characters in the scene as well. You see the well off in their suits driving their flash cars to work. You see the professional but practical walking to work in everything business casual except for their runners and you see the buses crammed with people like sardines.

You sense the stress in the fast walkers and the jittery few at the bus stop caught in a vicious circle of checking their watch then looking as far up the road as possible and you feel relief that you don’t have their worries.

You feel grateful that you don’t have to be somewhere by a certain time, you’ve got all the time in the world and you feel wealthy in this regard for just a moment.

Maybe it’s being out of the house early in the day too?

If laying in bed all morning has feelings of laziness then being out of the house early on with no time pressure may have an ideal mix of accomplishment and relaxation.
