The college reunion took place at a restaurant this time.
Joan was sitting next to Daniel but the chat wasn’t flowing.
You see, Daniel had the Bears game playing on his mobile propped up against the water jug.
Joan would try her best to catch up but Daniel’s attention was only partially present.
As her fourth attempt fell flat Joan wondered if Daniel was that passionate about the Bears or is he using it as an excuse to talk less at this potentially awkward dinner?
She couldn’t remember him ever being a fan of American Football but maybe he acquired that in the decade since she saw him last.
