Getting praise for a good idea is addictive.
It’s so addictive that you can quickly slip into the very annoying behaviour of unsolicited advice.
Desperate to recapture that magical moment of seeing your idea well received you start to overstep your mark.
All of a sudden you’re giving relationship advice to a couple barely know but kid yourself into thinking you know their relationship better than them.
Better I think to hold your tongue and wait for them to come to you looking for advice.
Or if you think that you have come up with the perfect solution and you feel compelled to say it best I think to say it once and leave it at that.
Like a fisherman with low self esteem casting his line out, ready to get absolutely no nibbles.
