One of the things I think is quite refreshing about Only Murders in the Building is that there is no romance between the males and females in the main trio.
Most shows would try to maintain a ‘Will they, won’t they?’ style dilemma throughout the whole show.
But the age gap between the males and the female means it’s not even a question.
They’re closer to a grandparents and grandchild style relationship.
And you don’t see many shows where the youth and elderly link up and it’s entertaining.
