Sometimes I think saying ‘I like you’ holds more weight than ‘I love you’.
For example if you asked Bertha does she love her grandad she would say
“of course he’s my grandad”
There may feel an obligation or a societal pressure to love certain people.
But, does Bertha like, the racist comments, the homophobic remarks, and the fat shaming?
No she does not.
Now, Bertha’s granny on the other hand, Bertha both loves and likes her.
Bertha likes her passion for knitting, how affectionate she is, and how she listens.
