I saw a video of Portia Woodman walking into the Twickenham stadium for the 3rd/4th playoff game and she was crying.

Now I think a seasoned professional like herself would know the dangers of getting too emotional before a game.

But the context had to be taken into account.

This will be her last game before she retires for good after a long and illustrious career.

Couple that with the overwhelming support on their walk into the stadium from females of all countries not just her own.

Every adult always has a vague understanding that all good things come to an end. But once you know for certain that the end is in sight you almost want time to slow down and proper mental preparation be damned she’s gonna allow herself to be moved by the whole occasion.
