So there’s this super fancy apartment that is doing a lottery like game.
You buy a ticket for $10 and you could win the apartment.
The sellers expect so many people to buy tickets that they will make more money than if they sold to one person.
So, you buy the ticket and you go over all the photos and you visit the site and you feel your excitement building.
It’s by the sea, it has so much more space than my current apartment, it has 4 bedrooms, you could walk to work, you could surf before work.
Safe to say your imagination has run away with itself.
And at the same time you look at your current place with disgust.
You’re not by the sea! You make me feel cramped and the commute is terrible!
What was a fine apartment yesterday is now causing you frustration every second you live in it.
You’ve created your own dissatisfaction.
You’re inflicting pain on yourself.
And I think to alleviate the pain, you need to flick the switch and reverse the flow.
You could start by diminishing the chances of getting the fancy apartment and start listing why you like the current apartment.
