The school friends stick together, the work friends stick together, and the miscellaneous friends stick together.
I can’t speak for women because I’ve never been to a hen but I imagine it’s the same thing.
Maybe it’s the temporary nature of the meeting. It’s only for a few hours or a weekend, so people think – what’s the point putting in the effort if I won’t see them again?
But I think it’s humans in their natural state.
Compared to networking events where it feels like the connections are being made as a means to an end.
