I think for those who are not your best or regular friends you can categorize the conversation style.
For example, if I’m craving witty observations I’ll go to Kieran, if I want a deep conversation on philosophy I wander over to Jacques, and if I want to analyze the latest episode of Love Island I’ll go to Dee.
These relationships are probably not as deep as your best friends who you can talk in depth with about any topic and you may pick and choose depending on your mood.
