Then everyone laughed and I was reminded of the comedy threshold for this group.
I relaxed and adjusted my conversational settings.

I think there is so much emotional intelligence under the surface that we don’t even notice it all.
I suspect we are constantly adapting to the social cues and dynamics around us all the time.
