Sports press conferences

I don’t know why they bother with post match sports press conferences it’s all lies and deflections.

What’s more the press don’t push more on the bold faced lies. They just leave it.

I’d love if it was more like a courtroom where attorneys would cross examine coaches and shout – I want the truth!

I suppose the players and coaches view these moments as an obligation and also more importantly a potential banana peel that could cause them a nightmare down the line.

They don’t want to be in the papers for the wrong reasons and they don’t want to give the opposition any ammunition.

I think post match press conferences only have value when the player forgets his media training and lets slip something juicy.
