I imagine the sentiment was supposed to be reassuring but the chosen words made it feel condescending.
It’s funny how words can betray you like that.
I’d say it didn’t help that it was done over text too.
If it was in person, so much more could’ve been added or counterbalanced in the message in the form of tone, body language, and pace.
